The Lakeland Area Kiwanis Club is located in the Lakeland area which includes Boulder Junction, Manitowish Waters, Presque Isle, Winchester, Lake Tomahawk, Hazelhurst, Lac Du Flambeau, Minocqua/Woodruff areas in Wisconsin.

Our club meets at the Molly's Cafe in Minocqua at  9832 Plaza Dr. (near Walmart between Blumenstein and North Ridgeway Dr.) the 3rd Tuesday each month at 7:30am.  You are invited to attend our meeting and join in the fun of what Kiwanis has to offer. We honor a Lakeland Union High School Student (SOTM) at this meeting along with a Terrific Kid from one of 4 area elementary schools (North Lakeland, MHLT, AVW, Lac Du Flambeau) during this meeting.  These deserving students have excelled in their development in some way or another and we applaud their success!

One of our founding members described our club best when she said "We are small, but we are mighty!"  Our club focuses on children in the Lakeland area and supports many local organizations financially each and every year through our fund raising efforts.  We have 3 major fundraisers per year which help us raise over $10K each year:

  • The first is our poinsettia fundraiser in mid-October to early November.
  • Island Art Walk has been a long time favorite to the area where we put on a craft fair at Torpy Park on the second Saturday in July.
  • Our club also created an annual event called the Get Your K's On run.  This event is at the Minocqua Park Complex on Hwy 70 West on the last Saturday in April.  It is a timed event that offers something for the entire family.  The 1K/5K/10K event is used to help raise money for Kiwanis Autism Projects.  Our club is keeping these monies local and this event helps kids in the autism spectrum by getting them an iPad mini, a rugged case and all the necessary apps. To date we have given out 42 i-Pads to local students. Please check out our Get Your K's On page to see more information about the run, our sponsors and ways that you can be a volunteer.  Like us on Facebook, or check back here to see information and updates about the 2018 Get Your K's On run.
